Terms of Hire

Hire available to current Fun and Games Toy Library members only. Members must have been with the Toy Library for at least one month before being able to hire the bouncy castle out. Bouncy Castle cannot be hired for public events.
On hiring the Bouncy Castle you agree that you have read the Disclaimer, the Terms of Hire, the Safety Agreement and fully understand and accept the conditions as stated. You are aware that whilst in your care, you are fully responsible for the inflatable and will pay for any loss or damage that may occur, this will include the inflatable being returned in an unacceptable condition, i.e. if it is in a dirty or muddy condition, you will lose all of your bond and may be asked to pay for additional costs to cover such damage.

Bookings are essential and must be pre-arranged in advance.
Members to arrange own collection and drop-off of castle. Drop off and pick up times by arrangement at booking time. Collection must be made in an SUV or larger (castle will not fit in a sedan).
Bouncy castle is only available to hire for the day (no overnight hires).
Damages and liability issues are as detailed per this website Disclaimer – you are responsible for the bouncy castle while on your premises. It is your responsibility to cover any damage incurred while in your care. Bond will not be reimbursed until any issues have been resolved. The amount charged to members for any loss or damage will be at the sole discretion of the Fun & Games Toy Library Committee.
Reimbursement of bond will be paid by bank transfer within 7 days if clean and no damage found.
Payment must be made in cash at the time of pick up. If two bookings are requested for the same day a deposit may be required to secure the booking.
Cancellations need to be advised as soon as possible to allow other members to hire the Bouncy Castle. Allowances are made for inclement weather.

Disclaimer

Please note that all persons using the bouncy castle do so at their own risk. The person/s hiring this inflatable equipment will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. These guidelines are for the safety of all people using this equipment and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure that they are fully adhered to at all times. The Fun & Games Toy Library cannot accept any responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using this equipment.

Safety Agreement

It is the responsibility of the person who is hiring the Bouncy Castle to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the inflatable. Please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed at all times:
The ‘Warnings’ and ‘Safety Rules’ printed on the bouncy castle are to be viewed and followed.
Ensure that the bouncy castle is set up on a smooth, flat & dry surface away from any sharp objects. The ground sheet (tarpaulin) must be used at all times regardless of surface as directed in the manufacturer’s instructions.
Ensure castle is pegged down securely if outside, never set up the castle on concrete even with a ground sheet (grass is ideal). Under no circumstances is the castle to be put up on stones (shingle driveways etc).
DO NOT use this product on a damp surface or near water, including rain.
Ensure that an area of 2 metres around the bouncy castle is completely clear.
Keep the unit away from fire and heat sources. No smoking or barbeques near the bouncy castle.
A responsible adult MUST supervise the bouncy castle at all times.
Do not allow anyone to be on the bouncy castle during inflation or deflation as this is DANGEROUS as there is a risk of suffocation.
Ensure that no one with a history of back or neck problems is allowed on the bouncy castle. People who are pregnant, have high blood pressure or are feeling unwell should not use the bouncy castle.
All shoes, glasses, sharp hair clips, jewellery and badges MUST be removed before using the bouncy castle.
No food or drinks or chewing gum to be allowed on or near the bouncy castle to avoid choking and mess (Please note that if the inflatable is returned in a dirty condition, then the person hiring will lose all of their bond).
No face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers or silly string to be used either on or near the bouncy castle.
No pets, toys or sharp objects to be allowed on or near the bouncy castle.
Use of the bouncy castle while intoxicated is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed.
Climbing, hanging or sitting on the walls is DANGEROUS and must not be allowed.
Always ensure that the bouncy castle is not overcrowded, and limit numbers according to the age and size of people using it. Details of age, height and weight restrictions are printed on the bouncy castle. Try to avoid large and small people using it at the same time.
People using the bouncy castle shall not push, collide, fight or behave in a manner likely to cause injury or distress.
Please ensure the people using the bouncy castle are not attempting somersaults and are clothed appropriately so that nothing can fall out of their pockets.
If the bouncy castle is not being used for any part of the day, please switch blower off at the mains.
The bouncy castle should not be used if it becomes wet on the bouncing surface. If no roof cover is fitted and in the event of rain the bouncy castle shall NOT be used.
In the event of heavy rain or strong wind, the bouncy castle is to be switched off as this can be DANGEROUS. Any wetness can be dried with a towel prior to the bouncy castle being switched on again when the weather improves.
In the event that the blower stops working please ensure all users get off the inflatable immediately. Check the blower and make sure the blower tube has not been obstructed or become detached. In the event that it overheats or loses power, switch the blower off at the mains and let it rest for 2-4 minutes before attempting to restart. If it does not restart, please refrain from using it to prevent further damage.
Safety mats are provided, the hirer must make sure that the mat is used correctly at the entrance to the castle and not moved away from the inflatable.
Where safety equipment is provided, the users of the bouncy castle shall use it.
